Matlab upgraded on RedHat Linux

NoMachine Server and Client update

CSG in coordination with ITS has added a number of new wireless access points to MacLean Hall. There is now ubiquitous wireless access in MacLean.

The Intel C/C++ and Fortran compilers have been upgraded from version 8.0 to version 9.0. This upgrade includes compilers for the x86_64 architecture, as well as the usual 32-bit compilers.

Results from the scheduled down time:
1) Windows machines patched & rebooted for WMF exploit. If you have an unmanaged windows machines, run windows update ASAP.
2) Installed faster file server with new OS and faster/larger disk sub system allowing for increased quotas. Unmanaged users will need to reboot to access new file server (fileserv.divms.uiowa.ed).
