Due to staffing and budgetary limitations, the CSG must restrict its support of hardware to a few types of equipment, which must be located within MacLean or Schaeffer Hall. The CSG will support only:
- networked Windows or UNIX workstations manufactured by Dell Computer (Dell) and Hewlett-Packard (HP), running Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS4 on approved Hardware;
- networked printers manufactured by HP.

To have a supported machine, the configuration must be blessed by the CSG BEFORE the equipment is ordered. There are too many combinations and peripherials for PC's for the CSG to support every combination or for us to list the "currently" supported combinations. The CSG will work hard to support main stream combinations of video, ethernet, mouse and sound cards.
If the equipment is ordered with out being blessed by the CSG, we reserve the right not to support it.
