Using the NoMachine NX Client

Prerequisites:

• To install the client, you must have permissions to install software on your Windows computer.

  Note: All CSG managed machines already have the NoMachine client installed.

  
   

Installation Instructions:

1. Download the CSG-customized NoMachine3.5.0.07.v1.msi software (fixes font problems in emacs and Mathematica 2008-01-18) here.
2. Double-click the .msi file you just downloaded.  This will start the installer application.
3. On the Welcome page of the wizard, click Next to install the software.
4. On the Wizard Completed page, click Finish.
    

Launching the application:

1. Click Start -> All Programs -> NX Client for Windows -> CSG Linux Desktop.
   
   
   
    
2. Ensure the Login field contains your DIVMS username, enter your DIVMS passphrase in Password field, and then click Login.
   
   
   
    
3. You will be connected to a Linux desktop environment on a server in Mathematical Sciences.
    

Troubleshooting:

Manual configuration instructions can be found here and should only be necessary if the CSG packaged client is not working for you and you have to configure the connection yourself.
