Downloading Norton AntiVirus
- Go to ITS' Virus Software download page.
- Log in with your HawkID including the domain of your account. Almost
all CS, Math, and Statistics users are in the Iowa domain.
For example, if your HawkID is jolsen, you would type iowa\jolsen for your username. Your HawkID password may not be the same as your Mathematical Sciences account password. If you don't know your HawkID password, call the ITS Helpdesk at 384-HELP (4357).

- Click the Download button appropriate for your operating system.
- Follow the installation instructions provided by ITS for
Windows,
Mac OS 9, or
Mac OS X.
NOTE: For the Windows installation, if after running LiveUpdate for the first time, you see a red circle with a white 'X' through it like in the last screenshot on ITS' update how-to page, just run LiveUpdate again after the installation has completely finished. In rare cases, you may need to restart your computer to successfully update for the first time.
For more information on the latest virus and worm vulnerabilities, see the page for ITS' virus resource center.

- Click the Schedule button.

- Ensure the radio button (checkbox) next to "Daily" is checked.
